Local focus when producing polyester fabrics
2023-04-25
To ensure our way of life, the economy must consistently focus on sustainability. When it comes to polyester fabrics made from recycled yarn, according to Georg Otto Friedrich, there is only "one" sustainable approach: the material must be collected locally, recycled locally and processed locally.
Nowadays, recycled polyester yarn is made from PET bottles. This recycling process is significantly more energy efficient than the production of polyester from oil and also reduces waste that would otherwise end up in nature. For these reasons, fabrics made from recycled polyester are the fastest growing category of items at GOF.
GOF exclusively uses recycled yarn from European production and processes it in its own knitting and finishing facility, 100% in Germany. They use certified post-consumer PET, collected near the recycling facility in Europe.
With GOF as a partner, you can clearly position yourself as a pioneer in sustainability without having to resort to greenwashing. Discover GOF's unique range of sustainably produced fabrics from Germany!
